Phone System

Phone System shows the number and readiness information used to deliver inbound calls to your voice agent.

Follow the available number-selection and setup flow for your workspace. Confirm the displayed number before publishing it.

If you plan to keep an existing business number, forward its voice calls to the active RevSystems number through the company that manages the existing line. Follow Forward an existing number for a provider checklist, official support links, and loop-prevention guidance.

Forwarding does not transfer ownership of the original number, and it normally does not forward text messages. Keep the provider account active and document how your team can reverse the setting.

Do not treat a selected number as launch-ready until the section shows the expected readiness and a real call reaches your agent. Test the RevSystems number directly before adding an external forwarding path; that separates destination readiness from a provider configuration problem.

  1. Call the number from a separate phone.
  2. Confirm the greeting and business identity.
  3. Test an after-hours scenario if applicable.
  4. Verify the call appears in Home and Inbox.
  5. Confirm any intended handoff or booking action separately.

If you use an existing number, repeat the same test through that published number and confirm the expected caller ID, ring timing, and voicemail behavior.

Phone readiness does not automatically configure Call Handling, booking, or handoff destinations.
